with "take home" time each week between classes.

Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts

Internationally known fabric designer, quilter, author, and teacher Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts guided us on a journey of historical, political, and personal events that have inspired generations of quilters. She reflects on quilters’ works and how they find inspiration to create, express and mark milestones in their lives. The program was full of historical information as well as touching personal stories. Over fifty (50) quilts were shown to entertain and inspire.

Edyta held 2 classes, one on Friday and one on Saturday.

After the Friday class Edyta paid a vist to The Village Stitchery.

The Village Stitchery was established August 15, 1982 in Oblong, IL. We are a family owned and operated business who do our best to please our customers. Lisa Pinkston along with her mother, Sherry Catt can be found assisting customers six days a week.

The Village Stitchery has over 3,000 bolts of quality fabrics from Moda, RJR, Maywood, Hoffman and many others, as well as a large selection of quilting books, patterns and supplies.

We offer a full gift line which includes handmade quilts, appliqued clothing, books, crafts and more. We have just the right gifts for those special people in your life.

We also carry Home Decorating items including rugs, lampshades, curtains and other seasonal items.
